{"id":1064,"date":"2025-06-28T09:14:04","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T09:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/binhabreesh-ye.org\/english\/?p=1064"},"modified":"2025-06-28T09:14:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T09:14:04","slug":"consultative-workshop-to-explore-mechanisms-for-enhancing-youth-participation-in-local-decision-making-in-hadramout-valley-and-desert-governorate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/binhabreesh-ye.org\/english\/2025\/06\/28\/consultative-workshop-to-explore-mechanisms-for-enhancing-youth-participation-in-local-decision-making-in-hadramout-valley-and-desert-governorate\/","title":{"rendered":"Consultative Workshop to Explore Mechanisms for Enhancing Youth Participation in Local Decision-Making in Hadramout Valley and Desert Governorate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sayun \/ BHF Media<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Bin Habreesh Foundation for Development (BHF) organized a consultative workshop in the city of Sayun to explore ways to enhance youth participation mechanisms (addressing obstacles, challenges, needs, and recommendations) in local decision-making within the Hadramout Valley and Desert Governorate.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop comes as part of the activities of the &#8220;Partnerships 2&#8221; project implemented by the Foundation in partnership with Youth Without Borders Organization for Development, and in cooperation with the Civil Peace Coalition and the Youth Consensus for Peace and Security, with funding from the Dutch Embassy in Yemen.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop aimed to strengthen youth access and engagement in local authority decision-making processes. It is worth noting that the &#8220;Partnerships 2&#8221; program is being implemented in the governorates of Aden, Hadramout (Valley and Coast), Taiz, and Marib.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop discussed four main themes, facilitated by Mr. Saleh Obaid Al-Jabri, the workshop moderator:<br \/>\nThe Current Reality of Youth Participation in Local Decision-Making. Key Barriers Preventing Youth Participation. Needs and Opportunities to Enhance Youth Engagement . A Proposal to Establish a Youth Advisory Committee<\/p>\n<p>The workshop featured interactive discussions and contributions from participants, enriching the dialogue on all themes.
