In Shabwa, a capacity-building activity for community committees has been launched by The Martyr Bin Habreesh Foundation for Development.

The Martyr Bin Habreesh Foundation for Development (BHF) has launched in Ataq district, Shabwa governorate, its activity represented in capacity-building workshops for community committees in the field of dialogue and negotiation, funded by the (Josoor) Program and sponsored by the local authority in Shabwa Governorate.

This is within the activities of the project, which targets three districts in the governorate (Ataq, Al-Rawda, Maifa’a), with a community committee for each district.

At the inauguration ceremony, the First Undersecretary of Shabwa Governorate, Dr. Abdulqawi Lamrouq, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Martyr Bin Habreesh Foundation for implementing this activity, which will contribute to alleviating societal tensions and conflicts through training elite members of community committees and providing them with skills and experiences that enhance their capabilities and contribute to solving many of issuescommunity at the local level, as well as promoting peace, security and community peace.

Dr. Lamrouq stressed the importance of benefiting from the axes of this qualitative workshop and applying them to the practical reality to have a tangible impact on society.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Ataq Directorate, Mr. Ali Omar Al-Khulaifi, stated that this workshop will contribute to enhancing the capabilities and skills of those targeted in the context of societal conflict issues.

The inauguration ceremony was initiated by the project coordinator from the Martyr Bin Habreesh Foundation, Mr. Khalil Muhammad Bin Munif, with a speech in which he welcomed everyone, reviewing the objectives of the project and the resulting impact, stressing that this workshop is part of a package of activities that have been and will be implemented during the project period, which targets three directorates in the governorate with funding.
