Distribution of preventive materials for sanitation and improvement engineers in Seiyun Directorate, provided by Bin Habreesh Foundation for Development.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Sanitation Unit in Seiyun Directorate launched the distribution of protective equipment for sanitation workers, numbering 108 engineers, provided by Ben Habrish Foundation for Development (BHF). The ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund in Hadhramaut, Mr. Mari’ Fadl Al-Kathiri, and other officials.

The Director General of the Fund expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Ben Habrish Foundation for their continuous support and interventions in favor of sanitation workers. He noted that the initiative comes at the right time, given the workers’ vulnerability to injuries and diseases while collecting waste.

The Director General called on local civil society organizations and international donors to support the Fund and sanitation workers in all directorates of the valley. He also emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining the city’s beauty and public health by disposing of waste properly.

The Acting Executive Director of Ben Habrish Foundation, Engineer Khalil Bin Munif, said that the initiative is a token of appreciation for the efforts of sanitation workers and aims to reduce the risks they face while collecting waste. He added that the foundation is working on a comprehensive project to manage waste in collaboration with the Sanitation Fund.
