*Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to Implement the Project to Enhance the Role of Community Committees in Addressing Waste Issues*

Within the framework of strengthening partnerships between local authorities and civil society, and with the aim of effectively contributing to mitigating the environmental and health challenges resulting from poor waste management, a team from the Martyr Bin Habrish Foundation for Development visited the Executive Director General of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Hadhramaut Valley and Desert, Mr. Marai Fadl Al-Kathiri, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the project “Enhancing the Role of Community Committees in Participating in Resolving Waste Issues” between the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund and the Community Accountability Network.

The memorandum aims to organize a framework for cooperation between the two parties, facilitating the implementation of project activities and achieving environmental sustainability by activating the role of community committees in monitoring and finding joint solutions to waste issues, in addition to enhancing trust and integration between the local community and relevant official bodies.
