“A focal session was held in Seiyun city to discuss the challenges of waste management and proposed solutions

Yesterday, Monday, September 1, 2025, the session was held in Seiyun city to discuss the regulatory framework (Shared Solutions Document) for waste management. The session was attended by a group of community members, civil society organizations, institutions, and relevant authorities, as well as media representatives and community activists. It was implemented by the Community Accountability Network in partnership with the Bin Habreesh Foundation for Development, as part of the Takamol project, in collaboration with Raneen! Yemen and Saferworld, and funded by the European Union.

The focal sessions aim to review the draft document of the participatory regulatory framework for solid waste management (Shared Solutions Document) in order to develop the regulatory framework for the Community Accountability Committee for Waste Management and organize its work with relevant authorities and stakeholders in Seiyun city.
